ABOUT THE PRACTICE

Horizon Equine Integrative Medicine is a southern Indiana mobile equine practice founded by veterinarian Dr. Janelle Renschler. The practice focuses on acupuncture, osteopathic manipulative therapy, herbal medicine, and dentistry to promote whole horse wellness and performance.

Mission Statement:

We strive to provide high quality integrative veterinary care to horses, compassionately serve clients, and improve equine wellness and function. We adhere to the concepts that the horse is a unit of body, mind, and spirit--capable of self-regulation--and that form is linked to function.

Core Values:

  • Whole horse approach to health

  • Collaboration with other equine professionals

  • Use of horse ethology to guide interactions with horses and recommendations on management

  • Respect for nature

  • Science-based evaluation of therapies and products when possible

  • Openness to new ideas--ever-evolving and lifelong learning
