WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR APPOINTMENT

  • Please submit the New Client form and Financial Policy form at least 1 day before the appointment

  • Prepare your horse

    • Barn aisle, stall, or other confined area is best

    • Reasonably clean (acupuncture needling cannot be done through a mud-crusted haircoat)

    • A handler should be available for the appointment duration

  • The initial acupuncture/manipulation exam is extensive and will likely include assessment of gait, posture, joint motion and acupoints throughout the body, hoof balance, incisor teeth, etc. Treatment typically includes a mix of modalities suited to the individual horse.

  • See the Dentistry page for more information on dental appointments

  • A complete electronic visit report will be emailed. This can be shared with your primary veterinarian if you desire.

  • Payment is expected at the time of services unless other arrangements are made

    • Check (preferred), cash, or credit card

    • For clients at boarding/training barns, credit card information can be stored securely to charge after the appointment. This will be required if you are not present at the appointment (unless other arrangements are made with the barn owner/manager).
